Fun Ways to Learn JavaScript

There are so many options when it comes to learn javascript. We have the paid versions, the free ones, the cool ones, the boring ones… I found myself many times just feeling bored because it was just learning, the concepts, the why, but in the end, I didn´t build nothing that I found interesting.

Chris Evans just looking not bored at all

Meanwhile I found some cool ways to learn javascript and build really cool stuff. (Did I just said cool 2 times? Well now it´s 3 times)

Wes Bos

Wes bos is a Full Stack Developer with premium courses that decided to offer a free way to learn javascript by building 30 things.

The tutorials are in fact a code challenge and are called #JavaScript30.

For each day you will build really cool stuff not boring at all (one more to count 🙈)

Florin Pop

Another Vanilla JavaScript tutorial that I found recently was the Weekly Coding Challenge by Florin Pop that “is beginner-friendly and aims to help them learn, practice and/or improve their development skills by creating all sort of projects and small-sized applications“.

Florin also has a freecodecamp blog that you should check it out.

If I found a new one within this topic, I will add to this post. Meantime, I also want to know what´s your favorite vanilla javascript free tutorial?!

Now I also have a chalenge. How many times did I used the word cool in this post?

Start on Medium

After a year reading super interesting articles on Medium I finally created my account ⭐

https://medium.com/@monica.mofi

I didn’t write anything yet but I’m already super excited thinking about that I will at last the courage to publish something there! I hope I can help somebody with my article. 😊

Why a blog?

I already had a blog when I was younger. A different concept of what I’m using now, but it was something that inspired me to choose the path I followed more than a year ago.

It makes me investigate something and write about it. And in this process, we learn. That’s my main focus.

Recently I read this article in freeCodeCamp Every developer should have a blog. Here’s why, and how to stick with it by Flavio Copes, that really got my attention.

So after I found myself writing on paper or bookmarking about several subjects that I found interesting, I decided to finally get my hands to work.

My main focus?

I will start to blog for myself ️
